*** CANCELLATION POLICY ***
I understand that everyone has "life" interruptions.......work, children, or emergencies. Been there, done that......it happens!
However, many people do not understand that when I make an appointment with them, it is not one-way. I am eagerly waiting to meet with them as much as they are with me. Additionally, there are many times that other clients want the same appointment time, but the time slot was already booked. So.......there is only so much time in a day, and time is valuable! Our time together is very important!
My cancellation policy is straight forward....as a simple courtesy, I kindly request a 24 hour advance notice if you need to cancel / reschedule an appointment, unless there is an emergency. If a client is a no-show or fails to cancel / reschedule an appointment within 24 hours, he or she will be asked to pre-pay for future appointments! I simply ask that my time be respected as if it were your own! Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
*** LATE ARRIVALS ***
Please be courteous......if you are running late for your appointment, please call!! If there is another appointment scheduled after you, your session will be shortened; in which, full payment, regardless of the length of your appointment, is expected. Out of respect and consideration for your massage therapist and following scheduled clients, please be on time!
*** SICKNESS POLICY ***
I recognize that both massage therapists and clients are vulnerable to infections; therefore, I ask clients to cancel appointments when experiencing colds, flu, diarrhea, vomiting, fever, or other contagious illnesses or symptoms. Trust me.....I will do the same as well! Sickness is unfortunate, but it happens. The upside is that you or I can reschedule your appointment within 48 hours after the symptoms subside!!
*** PAYMENT POLICY ***
Full payment of services is due the same day services are rendered. I accept cash, checks, debit / credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover), and HSA cards as forms of payment. Regarding checks, clients whose checks are returned for insufficient funds will no longer have the privilege of writing checks for their services. Checks can be made out to: RELAX, LLC Massage Therapy or Teresa Meagher.
Gift certificates - please inform me if you have a gift certificate prior to the beginning of the session.
*** TIPPING ***
I will say this up front......you will receive a very relaxing and professional massage therapy service from me whether you provide a tip or not! A tip or gratuity is a good way to express one's appreciation if he or she is happy with a service. As with the rest of the service industry, gratuities are typically between 10 - 25%. Another excellent way to show gratitude is to refer your friends, family, and co-workers to my business! Thanks in advance for your referral!
*** REFUSAL OF SERVICE ***
I have the right to refuse service to anyone, for anything, at any time! I would absolutely hate to refuse my services to anyone, but I have that right! As a Licensed Massage Therapist, I abide by a strict code of ethics that I practice at all times! RELAX, LLC Massage Therapy strictly offers relaxing and therapeutic massage therapy services and will not tolerate inappropriate behavior. To ensure the safety of all clients and myself, please note the following -
- Do not arrive to your appointment under the influence of alcohol or drugs! I will simply cancel your appointment, expect full payment for your scheduled visit, and deny any future appointment requests at my business.
- Sexual innuendos or requests (verbal or non-verbal).......simply put.......I DO NOT GIVE HAPPY ENDINGS! If this is the type of massage therapy service you are seeking, go elsewhere! If this behavior occurs after the appointment has begun, I will terminate the session, expect full payment for your scheduled visit, and deny any future appointment requests at my business.
*** SCOPE OF PRACTICE ***
RELAX, LLC Massage Therapy does not diagnose or treat illness or disease, prescribe medications, or perform spinal manipulations. If a client presents with an ailment that is out of my scope of practice, I will refer him or her to a medical professional who is qualified in that area of work.
